Courage

勇気 (yuuki)

The Japanese word 勇気 meaning "Courage" also translates as "bravery; valor; boldness" and is composed of the kanji (read yuu) meaning "courage; bravery" and (read ki) meaning "spirit; mind".

Notice that there are two ways to write the kanji ki. The older form is 氣 and the new form is 気.
