生死 (seishi)
The Japanese word 生死 meaning "Life and Death" and also translates as the Buddhist concept "Samsara (cycle of death and rebirth)" and is composed of the kanji 生 (read sei) meaning "life; birth" and 死 (read shi) meaning "death; die".
