忠義 (chuugi)
The Japanese word 忠義 meaning "Loyalty" is composed of the kanji 忠 (read chuu) meaning "loyalty" and 義 (read gi) meaning "loyalty; righteousness". 忠義 is used in everyday Japanese and it is also an important component of Way of the Warrior (bushidou), the Samurai Code of Chivalry, and is one of the Seven Virtues of Bushido.
