新生 (shinsei)

The Japanese word 新生 meaning "New Life" is composed of the kanji (read shin) meaning "new" and (read sei) meaning "life; birth". 新生 has two common meanings. The first being "New Life" or starting one's life over again and can be used to describe moving to a new town or undertaking a complete change of one's own life. The second being "New Born" and is used when describing a newly born baby.
