Noble

The Japanese word 高貴 meaning "Noble" also translates as "high class; exalted" is composed of the kanji 高 (read kou) meaning "tall; high; expensive" and 貴 (read ki) meaning "precious; valuable; esteem; honor". 高貴 is used to mean a person of high rank, noble birth or of royal blood. It is also used as an adjective to descript someone with a noble demeanor or with refined manners. Finally it is used to describe something as rare, precious or valuable.
