The Path of Aloneness

独行道 (dokkoudou)

The phrase 独行道 meaning "The Path of Aloneness" was coined by Miyamoto Musashi as a set of 21 precepts one should follow. 独行道 is a combination of the word 独行 (read dokkou) meaning "going alone; self-reliant" and (read dou) meaning "the way; teachings".
